Dear Friend of Life:
There’s a question that’s been haunting me lately.
“Lauren, are you giving everything?”
This question came from a pro-life leader who pulled me aside recently. Knowing we had already witnessed miraculous things in our short 2.5 year history — many babies saved, workers who have left the business, facility closures, and so many other blessings — he shared his conviction that God had much bigger plans for our mission to end abortion through the power of great love and peaceful outreach.
But for it to happen, he admonished me to be unafraid to take everything to the next level.
In the days and weeks that followed, I have often taken that question to prayer. At times, it’s brought me to tears because I’m convinced that while God is not asking me to workharder, he is asking me to use the best of what I’ve been given to put into action His plan to win hearts and minds through the greatest tool we have: LOVE.
I truly believe that the local abortion facility is perhaps the greatest place in need of God’s transformational LOVE.
So, as our team anticipates the holidays and looks forward to the blessings of 2017 —and with a pro-life government who’s positioned to defund Planned Parenthood among many other things! — I have to tell you: there are big things planned for 2017.
Former abortion providers tell us that peaceful, prayerful sidewalk advocacy was the activity that most devastated their business. Knowing that this is a key to ending abortion — and utilizing a comprehensive list of every abortion facility in the United States — we will be working earnestly to establish a peaceful sidewalk advocacy presence at every abortion facility in the country in order to help save more lives than ever before!
This is where I’m asking you for help: I’m all in. With the help of God’s grace, I’m ready to end abortion as soon as possible and put myself out of a job. And I’m humbly asking you to join me in this great mission!
There are two ways that you can help put into action these life-saving plans…
1. Have a call on your heart to help abortion-minded women in your community consider LIFE? If you would be blessed by peaceful, comprehensive sidewalk advocacy (or “sidewalk counseling”) training, tools and support, consider bringing Sidewalk Advocates for Life to YOUR town or city! 2. In order to set up new sidewalk advocacy locations, we’ll need the resources to visit an area of the country and get multiple sites started at once! Even though our training program is one of the greatest bargains out there (just $150 to get started!), so many pro-life volunteers are struggling and don’t have the means to cover it …but they’re ready to help save lives. Additionally, on the ground, we must be prepared to cover a need of an abortion-vulnerable mother who has an urgency that isn’t able to be covered by the local pregnancy center — something we’ve named our “Mommy-Help Fund.”
To take this work to the next level, we launched our end-of-the-year financial campaign a few weeks ago, and we’re now at 25% of our overall goal.
We’re praying we cross the finish line sooner rather than later so we can get started on these new, life-saving plans!
