Life is so crazy busy sometimes.
We understand. When you add in everything from caring for a family, going to school, keeping up with your household, repairing cars, getting kids to baseball practice, a full or part-time job and more …it really adds up! And fast!
And yet, when you drive by your local abortion or abortion-referral facility and see no one out there or very few people standing, praying and reaching out, your heart is heavy.
Gosh, shouldn’t someone be there? I wish I knew how to help.
I wish I had more time to figure this out.
I wish someone knew how to organize a regular presence.
Or, maybe you have a form of outreach going, but you’re driving by, thinking…
How can I build faster?
How can I get the support I need?
How can I lift the burden of training from my shoulders?
How do we handle clients who are going in for “other things”?
We understand. In short, this is why Sidewalk Advocates for Life was created.
We know that not everyone has time to put together a comprehensive, professional training program ….so, we’ve done it for you.
We know that not everyone has time to design a flyer template to advertise a training, figure out literature for abortion-minded women and men, find legal support, and research best practices …so, we’ve done it for you.
We know that not everyone has time to find continuous spiritual and strategic support as you build a peaceful Sidewalk Advocacy presence …so, we’ve done it for you.
All you have to do is fill out a 5-minute application, agree to a 10-minute phone interview and — once you receive the materials — bring the program to life. You just book the church room and invite folks to join you …and the professional training DVD and workbook will train everyone present. We provide a template so you can start scheduling people and get up and running right after your training. Then, we’re there for you, full-time — by phone or email — as you work towards full-coverage of your local abortion or abortion-referral facility.

BI-WEEKLY DEVOTIONAL (APRIL 19 – MAY 2, 2015): “CLAIMING VICTORY”

Verse(s): “He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.” — Matthew 28:6
Reflection: The other night on a Q&A call for our Sidewalk Advocates, our Program Coordinator, Julia, said something very powerful.
“Go ahead and already thank God for closing down your abortion facility …because it’s going to happen, it’s just a matter of time. So, claim victory now.”
Wow! What a bold statement …and yet, it hit me that it was very true. We know that Our Lord has already claimed victory through his passion, death and resurrection; yet, do we live in that reality?
Do we go to the abortion facility to pray and reach out, remembering that we have “resurrection power” behind us to witness great miracles? Do we reach out boldly — in confident love — knowing the love and power of God is with us? Even if we don’t see fruit from every interaction, do we believe and know that God is working in our midst, even unseen, to eliminate demand and end abortion in our town or city?
Faith Challenge: Ask yourself — how would your prayers, approach, outreach and plans change if you believed that the power that raised Christ from the dead was also the same power He gives you each and every day to help transform hearts and save lives in your local community?
