Who We Serve

Would you like to learn how to help abortion-vulnerable women and men choose life?

 

Sidewalk Advocates for Life is here to help! We serve communities, churches, organizations, and individuals, who want to bring an end to abortion by:

  • Offering comprehensive training, tools and support to community volunteer groups;
  • Serving pregnancy-help organizations which seek to reach more abortion-vulnerable clients; and
  • Providing introductory tutorials in outreach for the individuals, students, and other groups.

Over 70 babies have been directly saved and 4 abortion workers have left, thanks to techniques we have learned in creating a peaceful, prayerful, loving, and law-abiding presence on the sidewalk! If SAFL was not here to teach and mentor us, these lives would not have been saved. This ministry has empowered us as a pregnancy center to best minister to women, men, and abortion workers — it's amazing what SAFL has done for us!

Every gift made through April 30 will be DOUBLED during our Spring Matching Campaign thanks to a generous gorup of ministry partners.

Facilities closed: 

The permanent closure of an abortion or abortion-referral facility that had a Sidewalk Advocates for Life presence.

Workers who quit: 

An abortion worker who was influenced by prayer and sidewalk advocacy to leave the business. We refer all workers to And Then There Were None, a ministry that assists abortion workers in transitioning out of the industry.

 

Hopeful saves: 

A “hopeful save” is recorded when a pregnant woman leaves the abortion/abortion-referral facility still pregnant to “think about it,” armed with life-affirming literature and a referral to the local pregnancy resource center

 

Babies saved: 

A baby is recorded as a “save” when a pregnant woman accepts our offer of help at the local pregnancy resource center (PRC), verbally shares that she has chosen life, or gives us very clear signs that she has chosen life.
