Erin Devine, Esq.

Director of Finance and Administration

Erin Devine serves as Director of Finance and Administration for SAFL, overseeing human resources, finances, and all other day-to-day background operations of the organization.

Erin graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in Music Theory.  After graduation, Erin felt a calling to become an attorney and received a scholarship to attend Ave Maria School of Law.  While at Ave Maria, Erin was a member of Lex Vitae, an editor on Law Review, she clerked at the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, she participated in the Immigration Law clinic, and she was the research assistant for two deans and several professors. During law school, Erin also interned with the Department of Homeland Security in Dallas, Texas.

After graduation, Erin was accepted into the Department of Justice Attorney Honors Program and was assigned to the Immigration Courts in El Paso, Texas.  Erin lives with her husband and four children in Texas; in her minimal spare time, she enjoys reading for book club, watching anything with or about Chip and Joanna Gaines, planning family road trips, and teaching natural childbirth classes.

Facilities closed: 

The permanent closure of an abortion or abortion-referral facility that had a Sidewalk Advocates for Life presence.

Workers who quit: 

An abortion worker who was influenced by prayer and sidewalk advocacy to leave the business. We refer all workers to And Then There Were None, a ministry that assists abortion workers in transitioning out of the industry.

 

Hopeful saves: 

A “hopeful save” is recorded when a pregnant woman leaves the abortion/abortion-referral facility still pregnant to “think about it,” armed with life-affirming literature and a referral to the local pregnancy resource center

 

Babies saved: 

A baby is recorded as a “save” when a pregnant woman accepts our offer of help at the local pregnancy resource center (PRC), verbally shares that she has chosen life, or gives us very clear signs that she has chosen life.
