A personal note from our Founder, President & CEO
Dear Friends,
I cannot believe I’m getting ready to share this with you. Last Friday, our team in Houston, Texas – on site at the largest Planned Parenthood in America, now a facility that refers women out of state for abortion – helped over a dozen women find life-affirming care at the nearby mobile ultrasound unit.
The vast majority of them chose life – and the rest are what we would call “hopeful saves.” When I heard this news, I just about fell to my knees in thanksgiving to God!! I couldn’t believe it.
That afternoon, I jumped on the phone with our local leader and asked her what she believed to be the game-changer that saved so many lives in just one day on the sidewalk.
She shared two key things…
- Our training at Sidewalk Advocates for Life prepared her to very quickly and efficiently offer life-affirming services, especially since women were arriving one after the other, seeking services from Planned Parenthood;
AND - Because abortion is now illegal in Texas, it gave her that much more of an edge to say, “Will you try the free services at the mobile unit before you go across state lines?”
It was apparent that when abortion wasn’t readily available, women were more amenable to considering their options – and God used our well-trained team to stand in the gap at that critical moment of decision.
While we have this unique opportunity, we cannot give up any ground to the abortion industry. They are working very hard in abortion-restricted states to pressure women to go across states lines — to make money off of them and their precious children.
