Meet Our New Faces

As Sidewalk Advocates for Life embarks on our post-Roe journey to reach “Every Sidewalk, Every Soul,” we are growing our team to meet new challenges and expand our locations and coverage. With the help of devoted advocates and supporters across the country, we are committed to helping more moms, saving more babies, and finally ending abortion! We are thrilled to welcome these impressive women to our Board and National Team to help realize this vision.

Meet Board Member Jeanneane Maxon

Jeanneane is an attorney and nationally recognized speaker and human rights advocate with almost 10 years of executive level non-profit leadership. Currently she serves as an Associate Scholar for the Charlotte Lozier Institute and the Compliance Officer for Her Pregnancy and Life Assistance Network (Her PLAN). She previously served as Vice President of External Affairs and Corporate Counsel for Americans United for Life and as General Counsel of Care Net. Jeanneane has lectured in workshops at numerous national conferences for non-profits, and she co-authored Legal Solutions: A Legal Resource for Life-Affirming Pregnancy Help Organizations.

Meet Director of Development Jackie Appleman

Jackie oversees our Development Department, working to cultivate relationships with our Ministry Partners and grow support for Sidewalk Advocates for Life’s mission. She has been involved in the pro-life cause for over 20 years, including volunteering for Right to Life Michiana and then joining the staff as Executive Director. During this time, she also served as SAFL’s Program Leader in South Bend, Indiana. Her longtime commitment to the cause of life and her gifts as a strategic and innovative thinker are the perfect combination for her role on the SAFL team.

Meet Social Media & Events Specialist Megan Kerr

Megan helps share Sidewalk Advocates for Life’s mission through multiple digital platforms and in-person events. Moved to protect the sanctity of life for all persons, she began her communications career as an intern at Susan B. Anthony List and Students for Life of America, and then joined the staff of Right to Life Michiana. Megan’s ability to develop messaging that connects with hearts is key to her success as a pro-life, pro-love communicator.

Check out our entire National Team here and meet our Board of Directors here.

Facilities closed:

The permanent closure of an abortion or abortion-referral facility that had a Sidewalk Advocates for Life presence.

Workers who quit:

An abortion worker who was influenced by prayer and sidewalk advocacy to leave the business. We refer all workers to And Then There Were None, a ministry that assists abortion workers in transitioning out of the industry.

Hopeful saves:

A “hopeful save” is recorded when a pregnant woman leaves the abortion/abortion-referral facility still pregnant to “think about it,” armed with life-affirming literature and a referral to the local pregnancy resource center

Babies saved:

A baby is recorded as a “save” when a pregnant woman accepts our offer of help at the local pregnancy resource center (PRC), verbally shares that she has chosen life, or gives us very clear signs that she has chosen life.
