We look forward to having you with us that evening as we celebrate all that God has done in our midst and celebrate what’s ahead!

In the meantime, let me share more of our heart on the sidewalk with you…

As you are well aware, we do everything we can at the abortion center to turn a client from abortion to LIFE.

However, if that woman ignores our kind, peaceful offer of help and still decides to go through with it, we are still there for her afterwards, letting her know that Christ desires her healing and restoration.

Here’s is a message we received from Maggie in Michigan who works in post-abortive healing…

God bless you all for your courageous work as a Sidewalk Advocate for Life! Most woman who contact Project Rachel/Rachel’s Vineyard are 15 to 30 years post-abortive. Some come sooner, but on average many years have past since their abortions. On our retreat a couple of weeks ago, the average was about 25 years post-abortion. So much pain and brokenness for so long! Most had no idea help was available to them. Your outreach to include those who have just experienced abortion may help women to seek healing sooner, benefiting  not only the woman but her entire family, both present and future.

With much gratitude,
Maggie Walsh
Project Rachel/Rachel’s Vineyard

Maggie couldn’t have said it any better.

We love preborn children …and we also love their mothers.  We try to get post-abortive healing literature in the hand of every woman leaving the abortion facility (or, if nothing else, in a partner or friend’s hand), in hopes they will find help and healing later.

In this, we believe we are slowly transforming hearts and minds — as well as the culture — as we help others recognize how abortion hurts women, too.

Thank you again for all of the prayers and support you give Sidewalk Advocates for Lifeas we seek to transform hearts and save lives through peaceful Sidewalk Advocacy at abortion facilities all around the United States and beyond!miraculous-main-slider

WEEKLY DEVOTIONAL (DECEMBER 7-13, 2014): “THE GOD OF THE IMPOSSIBLE”

Verse(s): “‘Look! You are to conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you must name him Jesus. …The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will cover you with its shadow. And so the child will be holy and will be called Son of God. And I tell you this too: your cousin Elizabeth also, in her old age, has conceived a son, and she whom people called barren is now in her sixth month, for nothing is impossible to God.'” — Luke 1:31,35-37

Reflection: The angel appeared to Mary and told her that she would conceive of the Messiah – before it even happened, let alone before the baby was born! Not only are we protecting babies that have already been conceived, in our work with Sidewalk Advocates for Life, we’re protecting babies that God knew before they were even conceived. Inconceivable? Read verse 37 again.

As we work day in and day out to train people to stand in the gap and save babies’ lives, let’s remember that we have the power and wisdom of the Holy Trinity behind us in all that we do. We see the whole Trinity in these verses… God the Father sent the angel to tell Mary that God the Son would be born to her because God the Holy Spirit would overshadow her. The power of all three of them is in this passage – and that power is behind everything we do. Let’s keep that in mind when our giant looks huge!

We have come a long way in the last year – saving almost 300 babies from being killed, and who knows how many more “hopefuls” then turned into saves as well! We have seen many abortion clinics close due to our work and the answers to our prayer. We still have a long way to go – many more clinics to close and lives to save. But thanks be to God, Mary’s yes to God brings the power of Jesus into our work, so that we can help women all over the country say YES to bringing THEIR babies into this world, as well.

When things seem hard, and we become tired as little humans in doing the good work He calls us to, let us remember that last verse. Nothing is impossible to God.

Faith Challenge: Let us pray today, in the faith of knowing that nothing is impossible to Him, that all of the abortion clinics in the world will be closed.

Facilities closed:

The permanent closure of an abortion or abortion-referral facility that had a Sidewalk Advocates for Life presence.

Workers who quit:

An abortion worker who was influenced by prayer and sidewalk advocacy to leave the business. We refer all workers to And Then There Were None, a ministry that assists abortion workers in transitioning out of the industry.

Hopeful saves:

A “hopeful save” is recorded when a pregnant woman leaves the abortion/abortion-referral facility still pregnant to “think about it,” armed with life-affirming literature and a referral to the local pregnancy resource center

Babies saved:

A baby is recorded as a “save” when a pregnant woman accepts our offer of help at the local pregnancy resource center (PRC), verbally shares that she has chosen life, or gives us very clear signs that she has chosen life.
