A mother of six struggling with the news that she was pregnant approached a Sidewalk Advocate, who offered her a gift bag with free resources. The mom — we’ll call her “Martha” — shared her fears and concerns about her pregnancy. The Sidewalk Advocates prayed with her and guided her to the local pregnancy resource center.
At the center, the mom was able to listen to her baby’s heartbeat and see how big her baby was. “She was emotional but so encouraged and chose life after seeing her baby!” shared the Sidewalk Advocate team. “It brought us tears of joy while we watched.”
Martha’s new community of support helped her with a baby registry as well. This spring, Martha was blessed with the birth of her little girl! She shared her baby’s photo with the sidewalk team, and expressed how thankful she was to everyone who supported and prayed for her and her family.
