“You’re A Part of Our Family, Too.”

Countless lives are just one conversation away from being spared the agony of abortion. That was certainly the case for Kimberly’s precious daughter, Zoe.

Sidewalk Advocate Solanyi was at home when she received a call from a fellow Sidewalk Advocate on her Montclair, NJ team needing assistance with a woman who only spoke Spanish.

When the Sidewalk Advocate handed the phone to Kimberly, Solanyi instantly reassured the scared, young, single mom and headed toward the facility to meet her.

When Solanyi reached the local abortion facility, she rushed over to Kimberly and gave her a hug.

Overwhelmed and in tears, Kimberly shared her story, expressing that it was her son’s birthday and she couldn’t even afford rent – let alone a cake to celebrate. Solanyi assured her, “I am here to help you; I am going to walk with you.”

After making some calls to other Sidewalk Advocates in her community, Solanyi galvanized support for Kimberly. They left the abortion facility together and shared a meal with Kimberly’s children, enjoying each other’s company, “as if we’d known each other forever,” described Solanyi.

Later that autumn, Solanyi was blessed to stand alongside Kimberly as she gave birth to her beautiful, healthy baby girl, Zoe. There Kimberly asked her to be Zoe’s godmother, stating, “You’re a part of our family, too.”

When asked why she said “yes” to becoming a Sidewalk Advocate, Solanyi answers,

When you have a calling from God, you have to have the heart to do it. He has set my heart on fire to do this, to serve Him through serving others. … The more that we’re out there, we’re not just saving the babies, but we’re also saving families and generations. … I see the need in these families and these moms. I can’t hesitate; I have to do His will.

With your support, we can extend our reach to more mothers like Kimberly and save more lives like precious Zoe. Your generosity makes all the difference! Please consider giving the Gift of Life this Christmas season.

Every gift made by December 13 will be DOUBLED thanks to a generous match and is tax deductible: sidewalkadvocates.org/donate. We are so grateful for your partnership in this mission we share to save lives and end abortion!
