Last month, Sidewalk Advocates for Life held its annual conference. During our President & CEO Lauren’s opening talk, she played an excerpt of a voicemail from a disgruntled abortion facility manager in Miami, Florida, left for the local Christian pregnancy center director. The manager was mad because we, the Sidewalk Advocates, had stolen about 75% of her abortion business that day.
We’re NOT kidding!
The amazing thing was that we had only known about one woman who had accepted our offer of help, but apparently, there were at least 6 others who left the abortion facility for the life-affirming pregnancy center!
Lauren shared this miraculous story at the conference as evidence that God is always working in the unseen; that we may never know our full impact this side of Heaven. But we know our presence and outreach IS making a profound difference.
Well, unbeknownst to Lauren, almost the entire Miami team on the sidewalk that day was at the conference, and they came up to her after the talk to reflect on that glorious day. Even one of our favorite former workers from And Then There Were None joined us, in tears, after listening to the pain in the manager’s voice.
Then, someone proposed we circle up to pray for that abortion facility manager …so we did.
It. Was. So. Powerful.
We prayed for the manager’s restoration, healing, and exodus from the abortion industry.
In that moment, there was no greater blessing, no greater honor, than being part of that circle, praying for a hurting, broken soul who was literally working in a family abortion business.
Please pray for this worker. God is going to win her out of the abortion industry someday. Amen.
We invite you to be a part of our life-saving, life-changing mission that has helped over 21,700 abortion-vulnerable women choose LIFE, 85 abortion workers find the courage to leave the industry, and close the doors on 55 abortion and abortion- referral facilities! Be a part of this powerful movement that with God’s abundant grace is witnessing miracles on the sidewalk every day! sidewalkadvocates.org/donate.
