A Clash of Good and Evil

Special Note from Our President & CEO:

So often, I can’t wait to share the big life-saving moments on the sidewalk and the practical needs that make those victories possible. It’s the subtle moments, however, that can sometimes make the biggest eternal impact …

Like the first time a new Sidewalk Advocate in Los Angeles made an abortion-vulnerable mom smile at the offer of help.

Or when a dad in Miami was empowered by a Sidewalk Advocate to rescue his partner from the abortion facility and gave a “thumbs up” as they drove away.

Or when an abortion worker had a tugging on her heart because a Sidewalk Advocate promised to pray for her son. (Months later, that worker quit!)

Make no mistake, the Holy Spirit is moving in these moments – moving through our hearts and words, as we stand in the gap between life and death, joy and despair. In those moments, we are more than men and women on the sidewalk – we are emboldened sons and daughters of Christ, offering His love to our brothers and sisters when they need it most … to protect our Lord’s most precious gift – LIFE.

It may be days, months, or years before we see the impact of those moments, but it is COMING. This promise of hope is so critical in times such as these – when Christmas travelers are seeing huge signs advertising abortion destinations and “the world’s first religious abortion facility” was opened by The Satanic Temple. This is truly a clash of good and evil that we cannot afford to ignore.

In just a few days, we will ring in a new year. I want to make a promise to you for 2024: that Sidewalk Advocates for Life will continue to be a steadfast force for good, fighting not only for lives, but for souls – one Christ-filled conversation at a time. Will you join us in this promise?

You can be a part of the promise of HOPE with DOUBLE the impact by making a gift through December 31 at sidewalkadvocates.org/donate. We are beyond grateful for your support of the life-saving and life-changing moments that meet us every day on the sidewalk. Thank you for partnering with us in this eternal mission!

In Christ, for Life,

Lauren Muzyka

Facilities closed:

The permanent closure of an abortion or abortion-referral facility that had a Sidewalk Advocates for Life presence.

Workers who quit:

An abortion worker who was influenced by prayer and sidewalk advocacy to leave the business. We refer all workers to And Then There Were None, a ministry that assists abortion workers in transitioning out of the industry.

Hopeful saves:

A “hopeful save” is recorded when a pregnant woman leaves the abortion/abortion-referral facility still pregnant to “think about it,” armed with life-affirming literature and a referral to the local pregnancy resource center

Babies saved:

A baby is recorded as a “save” when a pregnant woman accepts our offer of help at the local pregnancy resource center (PRC), verbally shares that she has chosen life, or gives us very clear signs that she has chosen life.
