Dear Friend of Life,
While America is horrified as videos are continuously released by The Center for Medical Progress showing Planned Parenthood embroiled in yet another scandal— this time, selling baby body parts — I am thrilled to share with you some GREAT NEWS!
This is a picture of baby Jasmin, born just a couple of weeks ago to a mother who chose life several months ago with the help of our Sidewalk Advocates in Louisville! Working through God’s amazing grace, the Sidewalk Advocates convinced Mom to choose life every step of the way. They helped her work through the possibilities of adoption or parenting. Either way, they promised to be there well after the baby was born.
Ultimately, Mom decided to parent, and her family and the community could not be more overjoyed!

Baby Jasmin is yet another tangible sign of the fact that God hears our prayers and blesses our efforts to transform hearts and save lives on the sidewalk!
In the midst of so much heartache, watching the reality of abortion played out through the latest Planned Parenthood scandal, it reminds us not to lose focus: you and I are meant to bring the light and love of Christ to those who need it the most! We should not just curse the darkness …but run to bring a candle to the sidewalk!
After all, we know that peaceful Sidewalk Advocacy GETS RESULTS!
Since this effort began in April 2014, we have witnessed over 708 babies saved, 197 hopefuls and 21 workers who have left the business and been referred to And Then There Were None abortion worker ministry …all thanks to God’s amazing grace!
As we speak, our team is rapidly working towards the day that no abortion facility in our country goes without peaceful, loving sidewalk counselors and that every abortion-bound woman knows that she has help, hope and a community of support right in her backyard. We invite you to join us in the movement to transform hearts and save lives at abortion facilities all over the country and beyond — applications to bring Sidewalk Advocates for Life to your town or city are open August 1-31!
In the meantime, let us know if you have any questions by reaching out to us at info@sidewalkadvocates.org!

BI-WEEKLY DEVOTIONAL (JULY 25 – AUGUST 15, 2015): “DIFFERENCE MAKERS”
by Dr. Pat Castle, President / Founder, National LIFE Runners Team(NOTE: This devotional originally appeared at liferunners.org.)
Verse(s): “But I said, ‘I have toiled in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and vanity; yet surely the justice due to me is with the Lord, and my reward with my God.'” — Isaiah 49:4-5
Reflection: While praying in front of abortion facilities, we compassionately (“to suffer with”) meet the confusion going in and the hurt coming out. We have not toiled in vain. Let us pause to remember that in 1991 there were over three times more abortion facilities than pregnancy help centers and today, that ratio has flipped — now over three times more pregnancy help centers than abortion facilities — thanks to organizations like the Vitae Foundation, Sidewalk Advocates and 40 Days for Life (and others) who help abortion-vulnerable women discover pregnancy help centers.
82% of post-abortion women said that if just one person had encouraged them to choose life then they would not have aborted their child.
“One day an old man was walking down the beach just before dawn. In the distance he saw a young man picking up stranded starfish and throwing them back in the sea. As the old man approached the young man, he asked, ‘Why do you spend so much energy doing what seems to be a waste of time?’ The young man explained that the stranded starfish would die if left in the morning sun. The old man exclaimed, ‘But there must be thousands of starfish. How can your efforts make any difference?’ The young man looked down at the starfish in his hand and as he threw it to safety in the sea, he said, ‘It makes a difference to this one!’”
Faith Challenge: Let’s remember the story of the Starfish and be the one to reach out to an abortion-vulnerable woman with options that everyone can live with.
