Our team has returned from an amazing weekend in Washington D.C., co-hosting the first-ever National Celebrate Life Weekend. Together, with hundreds of pro-life men and women of all ages from across the country, we celebrated the anniversary of the fall of Roe and forged a path towards a future where all life is respected and protected. In the words of Pro-Life Partners Foundation President Michael Kenney:
“I’ve never seen a more effective collaboration than I’ve seen the last 3 days.”
You can see photos of this great weekend here, and check out the recorded livestream of the rally at the Lincoln Memorial here, including a speech by our very own President & CEO, Lauren Muzyka:
During this historic weekend, Sidewalk Advocates for Life enjoyed two truly special moments. First, as a weekend host we were honored to nominate an Everyday Hero in the prolife movement who commits to saving lives and helping moms every day without concern for accolades or glory.
We celebrated our very own Jerry Kapp, Program Leader in the abortion-destination state of Illinois, along with his wife Stephanie who volunteers as a mobile unit sonographer. You can read more about Jerry and Stephanie’s beautiful commitment to saving lives here.
Second, we honored our first ever Outstanding Sidewalk Team: the Columbus, Georgia team who operates in partnership with the Seneca Choices for Life pregnancy center. The Columbus team began their sidewalk outreach program with the help of Sidewalk Advocates for Life in 2016. Since then, their certified Advocates have helped save hundreds of moms and babies from abortion, and they continue to meet their needs beyond the sidewalk.

Their dedicated service to mothers has thrived despite obstacles on and off the sidewalk, particularly with the advent of many changes in the abortion landscape in Georgia. They have become a community hub for both sidewalk advocacy and peaceful prayer through 40 Days for Life, and they work closely with a local ICU mobile clinic. The Columbus team never shies away from a challenge, seeking help and collaboration when needed, and likewise helping other teams grow and strategize how best to serve their communities. They are a shining example of Christ’s love in action for the most vulnerable among us!
It was a blessing to not only honor these committed Sidewalk Advocates, but also to see so many of our friends in the pro-love, pro-life movement coming together in this moment of unity in our nation’s capital. We are so grateful to everyone who made this multi-event weekend event — especially our weekend co-hosts and conference sponsors. Stay tuned for our plans for 2025 at celebratelifeconference.com.
