A Life-Saving Difference

The presence of Sidewalk Advocates as a gateway to a loving and supportive community makes all the difference in the lives of vulnerable mothers. This difference is on stark display in states divided by abortion like Florida, where a young mom (we’ll call her “Renee”) arrived at an abortion facility feeling overwhelmed.

Mourning the recent death of her father and despairing over the loss of her job, Renee felt utterly alone. With no home, car, or savings, she believed she had no option but abortion. As she left the facility with abortion pills in hand, she prayed for a sign that God was there, that He saw her heartbreak. That’s when she met Martha, one of our Sidewalk Advocates. Renee recalled that day:

My dear Martha, my guardian angel … Without knowing me, she grabbed my hand tightly and spoke to me as if she were my mother. I burst into tears and decided to accept that my God was speaking to me through her. … My life took a 180-degree turn, I have healed a lot of pain in my heart, and very soon I will have my daughter in my arms.”

With Martha’s guidance and the support of our outreach network, Renee began a journey of hope and healing. Martha also engaged her church family to pray for and support the moms she served on the sidewalk, including Renee. Indeed, Renee was invited to join the church family for an evening of prayer, where our Advocates were blessed to meet her newborn girl and pray over two other pregnant moms who
chose life on the sidewalk.

Renee’s story — along with the more than 23,000 other mothers and babies we have helped save from abortion — reflects the powerful difference your love and support can make, especially at this critical time. Your generosity empowers us to build on this success, ensuring that we can continue to protect the most vulnerable among us.

We cannot do this without you. We urgently invite you to join us in our campaign to protect life on the front lines. Your support is critical to fostering moments of courage, compassion, and transformation, just like Renee’s. Together, we can be the hope these mothers are praying for.

Hopeful saves:

A “hopeful save” is recorded when a pregnant woman leaves the abortion/abortion-referral facility still pregnant to “think about it,” armed with life-affirming literature and a referral to the local pregnancy resource center

Babies saved:

A baby is recorded as a “save” when a pregnant woman accepts our offer of help at the local pregnancy resource center (PRC), verbally shares that she has chosen life, or gives us very clear signs that she has chosen life.
