A few months ago, when I was praying outside the abortion facility, a young Spanish-speaking couple from Texas approached with a little girl. The mother refused to speak with me and walked right into the abortion facility.
The father, however, stopped and spoke to me. He shared that he didn’t want his partner to get the abortion. I told him that Jesus loved him, and so did I. He got down on his knees and cried and cried. I asked him if he knew the Lord, and he said yes. I entreated him to go in and bring his wife out. I told him he would regret it if they went through with the abortion, especially since they already had another child. He continued to cry and call out to God.
Finally, he went in and persuaded her to exit the facility. She told us that she couldn’t afford to raise another child. We explained that the pregnancy center could help her, and so would we. She was eventually convinced to give the pregnancy center a chance. I urged them to be strong and trust in God.
After they left that day, I continued to stay in contact. And in January, I got a text with pictures of their beautiful baby girl!
Last night, the dad texted me that he appreciates our love and prays for us every day and that we’ll see each other soon. He said without us, “My wife and I would not have experienced such happiness!”
