A God-Sent Week on the Sidewalk

Our Lincoln, Nebraska team celebrated an amazing, God-sent week on the sidewalk! This incredible week began when our Sidewalk Advocate Bryan saw a young woman and her friend in the Planned Parenthood parking lot. The friend came over to Bryan and said, “It’s a wonderful thing that you’re doing.” He shared information with her about the nearby pregnancy help center and a county health clinic, along with a resource card.

She brought the information to her friend in the car, then returned with more questions for Bryan, who gave her a sidewalk gift bag for her friend. The two women sat in the car and talked for a bit. Then they drove across the street to find help at the pregnancy center!

As that car drove away, Bryan began talking to another woman about the pregnancy help available to her, and she too went across the street to the pregnancy center. It was one of those incredible moments on the sidewalk — back-to-back saves!

AND THAT IS NOT ALL! The following week, our Advocate Cathy spoke with a woman entering the Planned Parenthood driveway. Cathy was able to persuade her to instead visit the pregnancy help center.

On that same day, our Advocate John spoke to another woman as she was exiting Planned Parenthood’s driveway. She took a resource card and said she was headed to the pregnancy help center too! John also gave information about alternative health resources to a young man leaving Planned Parenthood, as well as a resource card to a father for his two daughters.

So many lives were touched in just a few days by these amazing women and men serving as Christ’s hands, feet and heart on the sidewalk!
