Will You Help Fill the Empty Sidewalks?

Right now, there are women standing on empty sidewalks outside an abortion facility, alone and overwhelmed. Their circumstances — poverty, violence, homelessness — prevent them from embracing the beautiful life growing in their wombs. These moms urgently need our help.

Here’s what happens when Christ’s love is present on the sidewalk …

A pregnant mother — we’ll call her “Tammy” — arrived at the abortion facility. As soon as she got out of her car, she saw the Sidewalk Advocate, Lucy, waiting for her. Tammy approached and burst into tears. She was overwhelmed, heartbroken and desperate.

Lucy and her fellow Advocate Patti listened as Tammy shared her situation. Gently, they offered her hope, as well as real, practical support. Tammy agreed to go to the nearby pregnancy center and asked the Advocates to come with her. They stayed, bought her food, and prayed as she met with the pregnancy center staff.

When Tammy walked out of the pregnancy center, everything about her face had changed.

That moment on the sidewalk became the beginning of a yearlong journey of support. Our Advocates and a local Respect Life team walked with Tammy and her four children through the months ahead, providing Christmas gifts, food, and ongoing encouragement.

Her baby boy arrived a few weeks early. But thankfully both mom and baby came home healthy, surrounded by love, including from our Advocate Patti who was blessed to hold the baby she helped save! >>>

Right now, right here you can help a mom in crisis and a baby at risk by ensuring more trained Advocates are sent to more sidewalks to offer the love and hope of Christ. PLUS, every gift made at sidewalkadvocates.org/donate by 12/17 will help us unlock critical bonus funds to advance this life-saving mission in the new year.  Thank you!
