Babies Saved: 12,049
Agnes* and her husband were expecting another child and financially strapped. Overwhelmed with severe morning sickness and fear, Agnes went to Planned Parenthood for an abortion.
A Sidewalk Advocate invited her to have a free ultrasound at a mobile ultrasound unit and even connected Agnes with a OB/GYN.
After seeing her little one on the screen and hearing the heartbeat, Agnes told the Sidewalk Advocate that she was going to keep her baby GIRL! Her family is excitedly awaiting the arrival of their little girl next month!
Hopefuls: 3,388
We’re praying for Chris*, a young mother in the Midwest who took the first pill in the two-pill chemical abortion process.
Our Sidewalk Advocates reached out to her, letting her know that “abortion pill reversal” was available through a local pro-life doctor, connected to abortionpillreversal.com.
Sidewalk Advocates are continuing to pray for her and encourage her in the right direction, but Chris hasn’t yet indicated if she’s choosing life or proceeding with the chemical abortion.
In this situation, as well as all circumstances with “Hopefuls,” we pray for the mother, her surrounding influences, and that the Holy Spirit will move her heart to LIFE. Please keep Chris in your prayers!
Abortion Workers Who Left: 71
Ruth* was employed at Planned Parenthood when a Sidewalk Advocate met her for the first time. The Sidewalk Advocate befriended her and told her that help was available through our ministry partner, And Then There Were None (ATTWN).
ATTWN welcomed her into the ministry, and she attended a healing retreat! She is still availing herself of healing resources through ATTWN.
Now, Ruth is a trained Sidewalk Advocate, considering her own location! Please pray for Ruth!
Facility Closures: 23
When it became public that a chain abortion business was going to open near an SAFL location in the Southeast, Sidewalk Advocates and the local pro-life community jumped into action.
The business had already established a lease with the building owner; but as word of the abortion facility’s pending opening spread among the pro-life community, a local doctor bought the building himself, then terminated the lease. The site now serves as a pregnancy resource center, where mothers are supported and loved!
Number of Locations: 202
While some businesses have been temporarily shut down due to the pandemic, abortion centers have remained open and very active. SAFL local leaders have adapted to the change and are still present on the sidewalk while maintaining local guidelines for health and social distancing.
In fact, we’ve had a recent surge of locations in New York, where abortions number the highest in the country, and we couldn’t be more overjoyed at this growing opportunity to serve!
