A Sidewalk SAVE!

A few weeks ago, Sidewalk Advocates for Life President & CEO Lauren Muzyka headed to Spring, Texas, a suburb of Houston, the metropolitan area plagued with the most abortions in the state.  Lauren was excited to train one of our newest locations to help combat, with God’s love, this scourge on their city.  Shortly after the training, we received a note of gratitude from the program leader, stating,
Thank you to SAFL for equipping me with training to reach every woman and man in any crisis situation!

And in that note, she shared with us the miracle of a SAVE on her FIRST DAY of outreach after the training:

A man dropped off his girlfriend at the abortion facility.  He held her and cried as she walked into the facility.  I noticed a car stopped at the corner.  Walking towards the car, I saw the boyfriend hunched over the steering wheel completely distraught in tears. Trying to get his attention, I said, “Sir, are you ok? Do you need help? I can help you.” He rolled down the passenger window. I asked, “Did you just drop off your girlfriend inside?” He nodded yes.  I said to him, “You need to get her out.”  He responded, “It’s her body, her choice.”  I urged him further, “That is your baby, and you need to get her out. You don’t want to live with that guilt. Please get her out. Do you need financial help? I can help you get resources. I had an abortion, and no one was here to help me. That’s why I am here.”

I kept talking, and finally, he said he would go back to get her. Thanks be to God, there was a Houston Coalition for Life mobile bus on site to help them. Several minutes pass by… I was thinking maybe he changed his mind.  BUT GOD… He can intervene in a heart that NOBODY else can! Praying for this young man, I saw him approaching the facility. He retrieved his girlfriend, who got back into their car.

I met them, and asked the woman if she already paid.  She confirmed no abortion was performed.  She said that the abortion facility only let her see ultrasound for a second.  I told her, “If you get on that mobile bus, you can see your baby as long as you like.”

She entered the mobile bus and came back out with snap shots of her 10-week-old baby!

Please continue to pray for this young couple, and the new mom who shared:

I don’t want to live with the shame and guilt.

Jesus saves, and He used li’l ol me to do HIS work. Praise God! We want to see more mommas & babies saved. There’s just not enough people on the sidewalk.  Please consider getting trained to come out! WE NEED YOU.
