Dear Friend of Life:
Susan on our National Team recently paid a visit, as she so often does, to one of our locations-in-need, Stamford, CT, who was dealing with great persecution on the sidewalk.
While there that early summer morning, A COUPLE CHOSE LIFE! Susan and the Stamford Sidewalk Advocates offered to take the family out for lunch to further encourage them and make a plan as to how they could make things work and welcome their second child with God’s joy!
Fast forward a couple of months. They got married! Sidewalk Advocates for Life assisted them in moving into a new apartment, helped dad get a job, and got them connected with legal counsel to answer some questions.
This past Fall, Susan and the Sidewalk Advocates had the honor of throwing a baby shower for their BABY BOY due in December. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, every single item on their baby registry was purchased. There is nothing they are going to need for baby!
At the baby shower, Susan met mom’s grandmother — yes, the grand-grandmother of this baby boy — who prayed and fasted that someone would show up and convince her not to go through with it! She even went so far as to sleep on the floor for several days as part of her fasting, offering it all up for her granddaughter and great-grandchild! What an amazing, faithful lady.
Even though Susan doesn’t speak Spanish, they found a way to keep in touch regularly. Mom tells Susan that she is her angel and that her entire family was saved that day.
Susan was asked by Mom to be present for birth of her little boy! She plans to wake up at 1:30 am on December 26, drive from Virginia to Connecticut, and suit up for the c-section at 11:00 am! She was also asked to pick out his middle name, and Susan and her husband were invited to be his Godparents!
Such love. Such trust. Such a transformation from the sidewalk that day through the power of LOVE. What a profound blessing. (We are so grateful to Tom, Noelle, and their team of Sidewalk Advocates in Stamford who said YES to God through this ministry and have chosen to persevere through many challenges on the sidewalk to realize this victory and so many others in their community!)
Friends, in short, THIS IS THE TYPE OF SIDEWALK ADVOCATE we are working to put in front of abortion facilities all over the country: Loving, peaceful, resourceful, trustworthy, and effective.
So many abortion facilities across our land don’t have advocates to redirect abortion-minded women and families to real help and hope. We are the only organization working to cover all uncovered facilities as soon as possible! So many communities are in need of our comprehensive training, tools, and support, but they don’t have the funds to cover their training materials.
To start and run a Sidewalk Advocates for Life location for one year, it’s about $400. We never turn anyone away from this program… but that’s because until this point, your generous support has ensured our ministry can cover those materials if needed.
Right now, we are in our end-of-the-year campaign to keep our life-saving ministry going and growing in 2018, and we are EXACTLY $20,900 short of goal …andDEADLINE is TONIGHT at 11:59 pm CST.
