A Reason to Celebrate: Abortion Facility Closed!

“When we show up, He shows off!” This apt reflection was shared by a Sidewalk Advocate in Atlanta, Georgia in response to the amazing news that, through the power of prayer and peaceful outreach, the local abortion facility had CLOSED! And we couldn’t have said it better.

This community — fueled by prayer and buoyed by the lives they saw transformed on the sidewalk— never wavered in their commitment to sharing God’s love in one of the darkest places on earth. And our God does not disappoint!

In the words of one mom our team served:

“I was going to an abortion clinic and that’s when Cathy approached to me … I think it was from God. And sometimes you want to do things, and God says ‘no,’ and he sends you Angels. If I [hadn’t] met Cathy … I wouldn’t have my Noah, my baby … I owe her my son’s life.”

The Atlanta team is just one of hundreds of teams across the U.S. who show up every day for women in crisis and babies at risk. You can show up for them too with A GIFT TODAY that will help train, equip and support our devoted Sidewalk Advocates in their life-saving mission.

And as a thank you, we want to share with you this inspiring video about the amazing fruits of your support. Please watch and share!

Sidewalk Advocates for Life has launched our End-of-Year Campaign, rallying support to meet an ambitious $250,000 goal by December 18th. To help reach this target, our generous donors have pledged a historic triple match.  You can make a matched gift right now, right here to ensure every pregnant woman, no matter where she lives, knows all her options and receives the loving support she needs to embrace her preborn child as a blessing. Thank you!

Facilities closed:

The permanent closure of an abortion or abortion-referral facility that had a Sidewalk Advocates for Life presence.

Workers who quit:

An abortion worker who was influenced by prayer and sidewalk advocacy to leave the business. We refer all workers to And Then There Were None, a ministry that assists abortion workers in transitioning out of the industry.

Hopeful saves:

A “hopeful save” is recorded when a pregnant woman leaves the abortion/abortion-referral facility still pregnant to “think about it,” armed with life-affirming literature and a referral to the local pregnancy resource center

Babies saved:

A baby is recorded as a “save” when a pregnant woman accepts our offer of help at the local pregnancy resource center (PRC), verbally shares that she has chosen life, or gives us very clear signs that she has chosen life.
