FULL parking lots at abortion centers during pandemic …and abortion worker #67 LEAVES!

Dear Friend of Life:

As we are part of the same family of faith, hope, and love, please know that we continue to keep you and your family close in prayer during the COVID-19 pandemic.  We pray daily that, very soon, we’ll see a turning point in this crisis, and we can begin to rebuild!

Knowing abortions continue (unbelievably!) during the pandemic, here are a few essential updates that I want to share with you…

1.  The state of abortion in America at this moment — including reports from our Advocates that, sadly, many abortion facilities are busier than ever – even using overflow parking!

2. What Sidewalk Advocates for Life feels called to do in response.

3. VICTORY REPORT: Abortion worker #67 just left the business in the Southeast!

1. FIRST, here’s what’s going on with abortion across the country: Unfortunately, the vast majority of abortion facilities are still OPEN, and in fact, many of them are telling people to come in as soon as possible in case our government mandates a quarantine in the near future.  Because of this, some Sidewalk Advocates have seen an increase in traffic to the abortion facility!  Knowing that most women seeking abortion do so because of financial concerns, there’s no doubt they are using the economic uncertainty of the Coronavirus crisis to sell even more women the lie of abortion as a solution.

Here’s one chilling report from a Sidewalk Advocate on the ground…

“I was praying outside a local abortion clinic this past week, and the parking lot was completely full.  They were redirecting clients to the lot next to theirs.  It was tragic to see so many rush in to kill their baby.”

And here’s what a pregnancy center director in Ohio just shared with me…

“We did see an increase in abortion-minded clients this past week.  It jolted us.  (They were saying,) ‘How can I bring a child into this?’…”

Heartbreaking.  It shows the need to be there for mothers in crisis just as much right now!

The medical community, and even some state Attorneys General, have called for an end to all non-essential and non-urgent procedures  but abortion facilities have flaunted their defiance as they remain open.

Despite a worldwide shortage of medical supplies, the abortion industry is diverting life-saving resources for their life-ending business.

Please continue to pray!

2. SECOND, in light of this, what does Sidewalk Advocates for Life feel called to do?  Especially since 40 Days for Life announced that they were closing the public portion of their vigil for the remaining 13 days of their spring prayer campaign?

Considering that the public vigil component of the campaign thrives on numbers, Sidewalk Advocates for Life understands and supports Shawn Carney’s decision.  Remember that this is an event that is advertised as open to the public, encouraging churches and large groups to gather for days of prayer in the campaign.  These activities can be dangerous in the midst of the outbreak.

However, Sidewalk Advocates for Life is different.  Our outreach, while grounded in prayer, focuses on one-on-one conversations with women, and as such, coverage at the abortion facility is accomplished when there are, simply, two Sidewalk Advocates at a time reaching out (or one Sidewalk Advocate and a prayer partner).  Last week, we let Sidewalk Advocates know that if they are not in a population that is especially vulnerable to COVID-19 and they feel called to go out during this precarious time  as long as they abide by federal and local guidelines for social distancing, etc.  we are honored to continue supporting them.

For the safety of our Advocates and their communities, and in an effort to stop the spread of this deadly virus, Sidewalk Advocates for Life has asked our leaders to pull back to the smallest possible numbers for sidewalk advocacy.  Using our well-researched method, and with the support of fervent prayer, we know that Advocates who can go out will be JUST AS EFFECTIVE as they do their essential outreach.

In case you missed it, here’s more on our guidelines for Sidewalk Advocates:

As our Lord tells us, where two or three are gathered in His name, there He is in the midst of us (cf. Matthew 18:20) — and that’s truly all we need!

3. THIRD, we are thrilled to share with you some GREAT NEWS from our ministry!  (And who couldn’t use a bit of good news right now, right?)

We just got word that abortion worker #67 has left the business in the Southeast!

Yes, this is an eternal soul who is now free from the chains of the abortion industry and has been referred to our friends at And Then There Were None (ATTWN) abortion worker ministry.  It warms our hearts that this person will be given a chance to know and follow Christ!

What’s even more amazing is that Former Planned Parenthood Director Abby Johnson, the leader of ATTWN, has told us that over 60% of the workers coming to them for help and healing got information from a Sidewalk Advocate.

Do you know what that means?  It means that if you have supported Sidewalk Advocates for Life, you are responsible, not only for lives saved from abortion, but numerous eternal souls who have left the abortion business forever and likely, have now found Jesus Christ.

Friend, I cannot thank you enough for the miracles that God has accomplished through your YES  with, no doubt, so many more to come.

But knowing the abortion industry is continuing, full-steam ahead, during this precarious time, this is where I need your help...

Right now, Sidewalk Advocates for Life is in its Spring Matching Fund Campaign to raise desperately-needed funds to keep our ministry going and growing, and with DEADLINE JUST 4 DAYS AWAY, WE ARE SHORT BY EXACTLY $54,329.

If you believe in what we’re doing during this precarious time, will you help us with a gift of $10, $25, $100, $500, $2,500 or more?

The abortion industry isn’t letting up, so we want to ensure that we don’t either.  And with all the lives saved and eternal souls impacted thus far, can you imagine how hard we would hit the abortion industry if we were able to grow our life-saving program?

AGAIN, HERE’S THE DIRECT LINK TO MAKE A LIFE-SAVING GIFT OF SUPPORT: sidewalkadvocates.org/donate

We are very grateful that God has called us to the front lines at this crucial moment in our nation’s history — and hope that you feel led to support our Sidewalk Advocates in their essential mission through a sacrificial gift today!

Thank you so much for your partnership in the continuing battle to save lives and end abortion through the power of His love!
