Meet Julia!

Dear Friend of Life:

We pray you had a wonderful Christmas and a blessed start to your new year!

To kick off 2015, we’d love to share — our staff is growing!

We’d like you to meet the newest member of the Sidewalk Advocates for Life National Team, Julia Pritchett!  (NOTE: Julia‘s larger bio will be shared on our website in the days to come athttps://sidewalkadvocates.org/about/staff-and-board-of-directors/)

Julia is now serving as our Program Coordinator, directly serving all of our Sidewalk Advocates and helping our locations be even more effective in their outreach at abortion facilities all over the United States and beyond!  She continues to provide them strategic and spiritual support as they seek to grow and develop their program.

This is what Julia wanted to share with all of you, our dear partners in this great work…

“As of January 1, I am the new Program Coordinator for the international organization, Sidewalk Advocates for Life! To say I am thrilled would be a total understatement. This organization is saving lives through peaceful, prayerful, effective, and law-abiding means all over the country and as far away as Romania — so cool!”

“Below is a picture of my Godson, Stanley. His mom went into Planned Parenthood where they told her for a few hundred bucks they could solve her ‘problem.’ Her ‘problem’ is my now four-year-old, handsome Godson. The picture I am sharing is the moment me and Stanley first met each other after he was outside of the womb.”

“There was only joy in that moment! I rejoice at Stanley’s life being spared, and I celebrate his mother’s happiness with her decision to keep him. My hope is that I can be a gift to Sidewalk Advocates across the country and help them experience more moments just like this one with Stanley.”

“Please pray for me. Please support Sidewalk Advocates for Life with prayer and financially, as well, if you feel called. We are saving lives where abortion truly happens — at abortion facilities. We are equipping advocates to love mothers in the best ways possibles so they can explore the opportunity of choosing birth for their little ones. Join us!”

As you can tell, we are very blessed to have Julia on our team!  If you’d like to say hello, feel free to drop her a line at julia@sidewalkadvocates.org!

WEEKLY DEVOTIONAL (JANUARY 4-10, 2015): “BEFORE WE WERE BORN”

Verse(s):  “You will become pregnant and have a son whose head is never to be touched by a razor because the boy is to be a Nazirite, dedicated to God from the womb. He will take the lead in delivering Israel from the hands of the Philistines.” — Judges 13:5

Reflection: Throughout Scripture, we read about angels bringing good news to people. And very often, this good news involves children. It is clearly good news to God when mothers are blessed with children. And He clearly loves them from the moment of their conception, while still in the womb.

This verse talks about how wonderful the hero Sampson will be. And Sampson’s story begins before he is even conceived. God has plans for him long before he was born. He was dedicated to God “from the womb”.

God has great plans for all of the unborn babies in the wombs of the women who visit abortion clinics every day, too. Let us pray for them every day, that they say yes to life and receive the great blessings that God has for them and their children. Let us also pray for the advocates who work diligently to give these women alternatives. And finally let us remember to pray for the abortion workers themselves, that they say yes to life and leave their clinics to find new work, as ten workers already have done in 2014.

Faith Challenge: Say a prayer every day this week for all those at abortion facilities: unborn children, mothers, counselors, and abortion workers. Let us persevere in praying for miracles!

Facilities closed:

The permanent closure of an abortion or abortion-referral facility that had a Sidewalk Advocates for Life presence.

Workers who quit:

An abortion worker who was influenced by prayer and sidewalk advocacy to leave the business. We refer all workers to And Then There Were None, a ministry that assists abortion workers in transitioning out of the industry.

Hopeful saves:

A “hopeful save” is recorded when a pregnant woman leaves the abortion/abortion-referral facility still pregnant to “think about it,” armed with life-affirming literature and a referral to the local pregnancy resource center

Babies saved:

A baby is recorded as a “save” when a pregnant woman accepts our offer of help at the local pregnancy resource center (PRC), verbally shares that she has chosen life, or gives us very clear signs that she has chosen life.
