One Tuesday morning I was able to speak with a couple approaching Planned Parenthood’s parking lot. I asked if I could help them and, after a few words, I found out that they had an appointment for a procedure at Planned Parenthood. The man said, ‘It’s an appointment for an abortion.’ I noticed that the woman sitting in the passenger seat looked sad. I was able to get a FREE Ultrasound coupon in his hands along with another brochure.
I asked them to take a few minutes to read it over before their appointment, letting them know it could help answer some questions that they might have. If they had any more questions, I mentioned, I’d be glad to help. The driver replied shortly, “Nope we’re good,” as he put the information down and tucked it in the console.
They pulled into the parking lot. After 15 minutes or so, they put the car in reverse and drove out of the parking lot past a prayer volunteer. As they passed me, the driver tilted his head with a smile. I noticed the woman looking over at him holding the brochure that I had just given him as they came in.
Once they were gone, a prayer volunteer was approaching me with her eyes opened wide and a half smile. The prayer volunteer knelt down said a prayer of thanksgiving for the intercession of her prayers minutes earlier. Prayers do work, and it’s moments like that encourage us out here!
