| Special Message from SAFL President & CEO:
Dear Friend of Life,
One year ago today, everything changed in the battle for LIFE …
For nearly 50 years, the pro-life movement prayed and worked tirelessly to overturn Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court decision that imposed abortion on demand on all 50 states, preventing THE PEOPLE from protecting innocent human life, except in limited cases.
Millions prayed, marched, and made their voices heard to correct a grievous constitutional error. Many worked for decades in their own communities to provide critical pregnancy-help services and life-saving resources to women and their families, in support of LIFE.
And knowing just how powerful the relationship is between law and culture, one year ago today, it was clear our prayers and efforts led to a harvest some said would never come: The Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade when they handed down Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, a generational win and a monumental legal achievement.
Now that Roe is gone, we must direct our efforts to achieving the ultimate goal: ending abortion and restoring protection for all preborn children, while sharing truth and helping to make abortion unthinkable in the hearts and minds of all Americans.
Sidewalk advocacy is a critical key to ENDING ABORTION. Our Sidewalk Advocates are on the front lines of this movement, meeting that mother facing an unexpected pregnancy with loving, life-affirming options at abortion and abortion-referral facilities in both abortion-destination and abortion-restricted states.
If we reach her, abortion ends in that moment.
And if we help enough mothers, abortion businesses have trouble staying open — and communities and states gradually find themselves abortion-free.
We’ve seen this winning model play out over the last 9 years as we’re now celebrating 20,392 babies saved, 86 workers who left the business, and 46 abortion facility closures!
In that spirit, Sidewalk Advocates for Life is full steam ahead, working to cover all uncovered abortion and abortion-referral facilities in America, and soon deploying a team to aid women seeking information online about mail-order chemical abortion, now the most prevalent form of abortion in the United States.
In short, we will not rest until every mother receives the good news of help, hope, options, and resources. Will you partner with us today and make a gift in honor of Dobbs, joining the greatest human rights movement on earth?
Thank you for whatever precious YES you can give on this momentous occasion, and we look forward to being in touch with more good news soon!
In Christ, for Life
