Our Call is Clear

A special message from our Founder, President & CEO:

Dear Friends in Christ,

After so many years on the sidewalk, we are blown away by all God has done through you — our devoted community of advocates and supporters.

Sidewalk Advocates for Life has marked 18,000 mothers served and babies saved, 85 workers who have left the business, and 30 abortion facility closures, and counting … to God be the Glory!

However, just months into post-Roe America, it’s clear that our work isn’t done. We went from one general battle for life to 50 individual state battles with state laws changing even as I write this. The abortion industry is updating their strategies constantly to more efficiently funnel mothers in crisis through call centers and abortion-referral facilities to the next nearest abortion facility. New abortion facilities dot the borders of pro-life and pro-abortion states while rumblings of mail-order abortion-causing drugs and mobile “abortion pill dispensaries” increase. Meanwhile, knowing how effective sidewalk advocacy can be in winning women to LIFE, Planned Parenthood is building their facilities with the Sidewalk Advocate in mind, shifting to “mega-centers” and strip malls so public access to clients is limited.

Our call is clear: Where women in crisis go, we go — to share our love for life and family. While our pro-life friends work through the law to limit dangerous mail-order-DIY abortions, we are working to cover all abortion and abortion-referral facilities with peaceful, well-trained, professional-quality Sidewalk Advocates. We are updating our strategies to keep up with the changing landscape and more efficiently market the abundant resources available to women at our local pregnancy resource center and beyond.

In that spirit, we will be releasing a cutting-edge training addendum to better help our Sidewalk Advocates save as many lives as possible and end abortion in every community. Communities who have implemented these new strategies have seen up to five times the number of women choosing life-saving help!

In 1 Cor. 9:24, Paul admonishes us to “run as if to win.” The Lord calls us to excellence in all that we do, and that demands that we study our opponent, take note of what is working well, and ensure that all we do is done in love (1 Cor. 13). Knowing that no one truly desires an abortion, we aim to continue training and equipping advocates to win more mothers in crisis to the life-affirming support they so desperately need.

We are so grateful to everyone who has joined us in this greatest human rights movement on the sidewalk, and are committed to continuing this journey until post-Roe America is an abortion-free America.

In Christ, for Life,

Lauren Muzyka, Esq.

Sidewalk Advocates for Life

Facilities closed:

The permanent closure of an abortion or abortion-referral facility that had a Sidewalk Advocates for Life presence.

Workers who quit:

An abortion worker who was influenced by prayer and sidewalk advocacy to leave the business. We refer all workers to And Then There Were None, a ministry that assists abortion workers in transitioning out of the industry.

Hopeful saves:

A “hopeful save” is recorded when a pregnant woman leaves the abortion/abortion-referral facility still pregnant to “think about it,” armed with life-affirming literature and a referral to the local pregnancy resource center

Babies saved:

A baby is recorded as a “save” when a pregnant woman accepts our offer of help at the local pregnancy resource center (PRC), verbally shares that she has chosen life, or gives us very clear signs that she has chosen life.
