There’s no doubt that, right now, we are in dire need of peace. The unrest at both global and societal levels has us clamoring for answers, hope, and a voice amid the chaos to offer love and clarity.
And that’s exactly who we want to be as Sidewalk Advocates.
The sidewalk is a place of chaos for women in crisis; in front of the abortion center, they experience fear, confusion, and hopelessness. Our goal is to rise above the darkness to bring hope and compassion where there was none. We train our Sidewalk Advocates across the map to consistently be a voice of love in all circumstances, and to see the vulnerability of those at the abortion center. When we recognize the precious humanity of everyone we encounter — be they the abortion-minded women, their companions, or abortion workers — we make way for peace and real change in their lives. In such a vulnerable place as the sidewalk, it’s paramount that Sidewalk Advocates stand boldly and confidently for love.
All of this is possible only through our foundation of prayer. We are capable of conveying peace through our relationship with Christ, Who is the source of all strength. In order to act as the hands and feet of Jesus for others, we pray before, during, and after our time on the sidewalk and trust that He will use us to serve those in need of help.
Join us in praying for peace now — for women in crisis and their preborn children, for the work of Sidewalk Advocates for Life, and for peace to reign in the world at large.
Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
