As you are likely aware, after President Biden ended his presidential campaign, Vice President Kamala Harris has received resounding endorsements as the Democratic nominee for the upcoming election, including from Planned Parenthood.
This is a harrowing moment in our nation’s history, bringing into focus the ongoing battle for life and freedom.
Harris made headlines earlier this year as the first sitting Vice President to visit a Planned Parenthood facility during her “Fight for Reproductive Freedoms” Tour in March. This visit highlights the stark misunderstanding between what Planned Parenthood claims to do – and what the abortion giant actually does.
To illustrate this contrast, I want to share a powerful story from the sidewalk.
In California — the state where Kamala Harris began her political career — a woman visited Planned Parenthood to confirm her pregnancy. After testing positive, she told staff she wanted to keep her baby, and asked for an ultrasound. They told her that if she wasn’t going to have an abortion, there was nothing further they could do for her. Discouraged, she left the facility – and that’s when she met our Sidewalk Advocates.
Our team arranged a free ultrasound for the mom that very afternoon. She was able to see her baby and embrace her journey as a mother with the support and resources she needed. Earlier this month, the Advocates who assisted her were honored to meet her sweet baby.
This beautiful child is a testament to the life-saving support Sidewalk Advocates offer families without agenda or profit – as opposed to the death-dealing services Planned Parenthood sells to pad its billion-dollar bottom line..
This miraculous moment serves as a reminder of why our work is so crucial. We are committed to sharing true help and the love of Christ with every woman who needs support and guidance. But we cannot do this alone.
