Saving Kingdom – Part 1

From an overflow of gratitude, one of the brave moms we met on the sidewalk shared her miraculous journey from fear to hope:

Mom K was thrilled to learn she was pregnant with her fourth child, but her joy quickly turned to grief after realizing that she would have to parent this child alone. Despite the fact that she had prayed for this child, Mom K had no support and was struggling to provide for three other children amid the pandemic. Feeling defeated and without options, Mom K and the baby’s father took a long, silent drive to an abortion facility.

Upon arriving, she ignored the Sidewalk Advocates outside like the abortion workers told her to do. When Mom K was called back to a room, she had already decided not to look at the ultrasound scan until after the abortion was done. When she returned to the waiting room, she went outside and gave the scan to the baby’s father. He opened it immediately. Seeing the image of their child, he asked her, “Do you want to do this?” “NO!” she said emphatically; then she ran inside to get her refund and let them know that she had changed her mind. The prayers of the Sidewalk Advocates on site were already at work.

Mom K then recalled a woman she had seen out front. She felt a prompt from the Holy Spirit, “Go talk to her.” Not knowing what to say or how she would be received, she walked up to our Sidewalk Advocate, Melissa, and said, “I’ve changed my mind, and I don’t want to do it.” Thanks to your support, Mom K immediately found the love and resources she needed to foster her choice for life! Even though she would be raising her children alone, she found hope, and her situation drastically changed in that moment…
