The Gateway to Real Help and Hope

Sidewalk advocacy, at its heart, is crisis intervention. But there is only so much that can happen in the few intense minutes we have to connect with an abortion-bound woman or her partner, so it’s critical that we prioritize our primary goal: to redirect the women we meet to the nearest place they can receive real, quality, life-affirming care.

In most cases, that’s the local pregnancy resource center. We are proud to partner with many amazing pregnancy-help organizations across the United States – and the fruits of those partnerships are nothing short of miraculous, especially when our team of Sidewalk Advocates works directly with the center itself.

Yet again, we recently rejoiced in one of those partnerships with our Columbus, Georgia team at Seneca Choices for Life, who shared photos of two of the hundreds of lives they have helped save.

One mom who chose life for her son and gave birth recently sent pictures of her now one-year-old, filled with gratitude for the love and support from the Columbus Sidewalk Advocates.

Another mom chose life for her beautiful little girl, who was born prematurely and weighed only one pound. But through the power of prayer and the wisdom provided by her team of physicians, her dear daughter now weighs six pounds!

“God is a God of miracles!” says the Columbus team. “All praise be to Him for these miracle babies!”

To learn more about what Sidewalk Advocates for Life offers pregnancy-help organizations, visit sidewalkadvocates.org/prc

Facilities closed:

The permanent closure of an abortion or abortion-referral facility that had a Sidewalk Advocates for Life presence.

Workers who quit:

An abortion worker who was influenced by prayer and sidewalk advocacy to leave the business. We refer all workers to And Then There Were None, a ministry that assists abortion workers in transitioning out of the industry.

Hopeful saves:

A “hopeful save” is recorded when a pregnant woman leaves the abortion/abortion-referral facility still pregnant to “think about it,” armed with life-affirming literature and a referral to the local pregnancy resource center

Babies saved:

A baby is recorded as a “save” when a pregnant woman accepts our offer of help at the local pregnancy resource center (PRC), verbally shares that she has chosen life, or gives us very clear signs that she has chosen life.
