The Light Rarely Touches This DARK, EVIL Place

Special Message from our Founder, President & CEO:

Friends,

Today, I want to share with you a powerful experience in the midst of great evil that reaffirms our mission and the light we bring to even the darkest of places.

I had the opportunity to stand in front of one of the most notorious late-term abortion facilities in the country in Boulder, Colorado, with our Denver Metro Coordinator, Briana. The community let me know that sunlight rarely touches the pavement there … but amidst the chill, we felt the warmth of hope radiating from our prayerful outreach presence.

Despite the somber surroundings, as I attempted to capture an image of the facility, a beam of light pierced through, a gentle reminder of God’s love and presence among us.

Though the traffic was sparse on this particular day, we encountered individuals in need of prayer and support. While some declined assistance, we were able to offer prayers for them, knowing that every interaction plants a seed of hope.

One of the most poignant moments came from the curiosity of prayer volunteers present, eager to learn about how our sidewalk approach connects with women in crisis. This newfound enthusiasm in the Denver community to join our mission speaks volumes about the impact we are making, one conversation at a time, thanks to your support and prayers.

In moments like these, I am reminded of the words from the Gospel of John:

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” – John 1:15

I am humbled by the work that God is accomplishing, not just in this abortion destination, but also at the 266 other locations where our Sidewalk Advocates offer hope and help across the U.S. and beyond.

With each new facility we cover, we bring Christ’s light to the darkness, offering hope where there was once only despair. Our work is not just about saving lives; it’s about affirming the dignity and worth of every individual we encounter. It’s about reminding women that they are not alone, that there are people who care deeply about their well-being and stand ready to help them in any way they can.

Together, we can reach our goal of covering every abortion and abortion-referral facility in the United States, ensuring that no woman is left without at least a glimmer of light shining upon her. With your ongoing support, we can make this vision a reality.

In closing, as we look to encounter Christ during this, the holiest of weeks, I want to express my deep gratitude for your commitment to sharing His love where it is needed most. Together, we are not only illuminating the darkest corners of society, but also sowing seeds of hope and healing for generations to come.

May you and families enjoy a blessed Holy Week!

In Christ, for Life,

Lauren Muzyka, Esq.

Your continued support is essential in our mission to bring light to those in the darkest of places. Please consider making a donation here to help us expand our reach and cover even more facilities across the nation. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference in the lives of those we serve (and will be doubled thanks to a matching donation through April 3!). Thank you for your generosity and unwavering support.

Facilities closed:

The permanent closure of an abortion or abortion-referral facility that had a Sidewalk Advocates for Life presence.

Workers who quit:

An abortion worker who was influenced by prayer and sidewalk advocacy to leave the business. We refer all workers to And Then There Were None, a ministry that assists abortion workers in transitioning out of the industry.

Hopeful saves:

A “hopeful save” is recorded when a pregnant woman leaves the abortion/abortion-referral facility still pregnant to “think about it,” armed with life-affirming literature and a referral to the local pregnancy resource center

Babies saved:

A baby is recorded as a “save” when a pregnant woman accepts our offer of help at the local pregnancy resource center (PRC), verbally shares that she has chosen life, or gives us very clear signs that she has chosen life.
