THIS PICTURE Is Why Roe Was Overturned…

Special Message from our Founder, President & CEO:

51 years ago today, the infamous Roe v. Wade abortion decision was handed down by the Supreme Court — legalizing abortion on demand through all 9 months of pregnancy.

But how sweet it is now to mark this day, January 22nd, and celebrate that a monumental stronghold has broken over this country. Thanks to the recent Dobbs v. Jackson Supreme Court decision, THE PEOPLE of every state now have the ability to protect life at its earliest moments. (Indeed, I sit here in the great state of Texas, basking in the truth that it’s possible for even a large state to defend life!)

Still, I don’t need to tell you that we have a lot of work to do. About 1/3 of all U.S. states restrict abortion – this is progress, but we are still losing about 2,500 preborn children to abortion each and every day. And many abortion-vulnerable mothers in abortion-restricted states are traveling across state lines for the next nearest abortion facility, often referred there by an abortion-referral facility in their home state.

This is why I’m so grateful for your support of Sidewalk Advocates for Life: No matter the given status of abortion in a state, we are working to be there for every single mom, at every single abortion AND abortion-referral facility in America.

We already cover 267 of the approximately 777 abortion-related facilities – and with your help, we’ll cover dozens more early this year!

I believe the key to ending abortion is represented in a picture from this year’s annual March for Life in Washington DC, posted on social media by a former Planned Parenthood Manager Mayra Rodriguez. In her post, she reflects on the message in our 2024 marching sign and hers (pictured right).

Former abortion providers and workers, now pro-life, have told us that sidewalk advocacy was the activity that most devastated their business. And it’s not hard to see why: we are redirecting mothers in crisis by the thousands every year from abortion-related facilities to life-affirming pregnancy resource centers, and connecting abortion workers with And Then There Were None abortion worker ministry to leave the industry and find Christ.

The truth is, you do that enough, and it’s really hard for an abortion facility to stay open … we’ve seen it 55 times when abortion facilities have closed their doors for good!

Even more so, I believe that, someday, we’ll be marking another victory: personhood granted to the preborn.

Whether we gradually win people over to LIFE in our various states, leading to a Constitutional amendment – we need 2/3 of the states! – or the Supreme Court finally recognizes the preborn are persons deserving of life under the 14th Amendment, I stand in faith with you today that more victory is coming … if we don’t give up.

Prayer is powerful, love is powerful … and it’s gradually winning the day.  I encourage us to keep moving forward in the greatest human rights movement on earth until the day that abortion is both illegal and unthinkable.

In the meantime, I invite you right now to consider either joining us on the sidewalk or becoming a monthly supporter to partner with us in this great mission to save lives and END ABORTION.

In Christ for Life,

Lauren Muzyka, Esq.

Facilities closed:

The permanent closure of an abortion or abortion-referral facility that had a Sidewalk Advocates for Life presence.

Workers who quit:

An abortion worker who was influenced by prayer and sidewalk advocacy to leave the business. We refer all workers to And Then There Were None, a ministry that assists abortion workers in transitioning out of the industry.

Hopeful saves:

A “hopeful save” is recorded when a pregnant woman leaves the abortion/abortion-referral facility still pregnant to “think about it,” armed with life-affirming literature and a referral to the local pregnancy resource center

Babies saved:

A baby is recorded as a “save” when a pregnant woman accepts our offer of help at the local pregnancy resource center (PRC), verbally shares that she has chosen life, or gives us very clear signs that she has chosen life.
