We Mean What We Say

When we say we’re here to help moms build up their futures, we mean it.

One morning in Georgia, a woman pulled into the abortion facility lot, opened her door, and started videotaping our Sidewalk Advocate Cathy.

Cathy waved and said hello, and explained that she was there to help. Cathy invited the woman to share her story to determine how they might best help her — possibly with a job, housing, financial needs, or maybe a baby shower. Cathy explained that we were willing to help her with whatever her needs were so she could keep her family intact.

The woman returned to her car and sat inside for a while before entering. On her way into her appointment, Cathy told her,

“I believe in you, you will be a great mom, and we would love to help you have no regrets.”

When the woman exited her appointment, she motioned for Cathy to come toward the driveway to talk.

She said she had heard all Cathy had to say, and that she had not had the abortion. She could have aborted her child legally in Georgia because they could not yet detect a heartbeat, but she wanted to know if we could really help her with a job. She said that if we could help with the job, then she would like to have her baby.  So, she wanted to see if our offer was for real. Cathy connected her to a recruiter friend who helps with resumes and job leads, and we are praying for a job opportunity for her soon. Please join us in prayer for this mom, and that God will provide for her and her family soon!
