Dear Friend of Life:
In sidewalk advocacy, we spend countless hours on sidewalks in front of abortion or abortion-referral facilities, praying and reaching out to women-in-crisis, usually with the ultimate goal of saving lives from abortion. However, sometimes we forget that there is another key aspect to ending abortion: praying and reaching out to those who work in the abortion industry. The idea is that we’re eliminating demand for abortion when we help a woman choose life, and on the other side, we eliminate supply when we help a worker leave the abortion industry!
I’m sure many of you are familiar with Former Planned Parenthood Director Abby Johnson, now serving as President of And Then There Were None (ATTWN) abortion worker ministry (see abortionworker.com). You’ve likely heard portions of her incredible testimony — best detailed in her first book, UnPlanned — regarding how she came to not only leave America’s largest abortion provider, but how she went on to become an international pro-life advocate and speaker.
Since she left and started ATTWN, Abby has been passionately working to reach out to those still working in the abortion industry, helping provide the spiritual, strategic and legal resources needed for them to transition out and into their new life in Christ without fear of exploitation. Now, there is a new resource that reminds us why this work is so important: Abby has just released her new book, The Walls are Talking!

The Walls are Talking tells the stories of several former abortion industry workers — some share the horrors of what they experienced while working in the abortion clinic, types of patients they met, why they worked there in the first place, and why they ultimately chose to leave the abortion industry for good.
Each one of these stories is powerful. Some share heartbreaking accounts of what it was like to work in an abortion facility. All encourage us to remember that no one is beyond the reach of Christ. Each story gives us unique insights into those who used to work in the industry, as well as unique insights into clients who have sought abortion in their facilities.
I want to personally encourage all of you to purchase your copy today and read these powerful stories, knowing that they have the power to completely and totally reshape the abortion debate!

Here’s what I ultimately hope you take away from this book: We need to have compassion for those who are working in the abortion industry if we ever hope to reach them for Christ, help them to leave, and end abortion. One of the most powerful takeaways from The Walls are Talking is the realization that those who have worked in the abortion industry are just regular people — and quite often, very caring people who wanted to help others. They were people who were deceived by terribly faulty pro-abortion rhetoric and the promise of an easy paycheck to support them and their families. They are not the enemy — we know who the true enemy is! The better we understand them, the easier it is to develop more compassion for them, which will make us better equipped to reach out to them with genuine love and care as we strive to encourage them to leave and claim a new life in Christ.
We train our Sidewalk Advocates to reach out to those in the abortion industry with love and compassion, and to refer them to And Then There Were None at abortionworker.com so they can receive all of the help and support they need to leave the abortion industry behind and to seek the healing that many of them so desperately need. The Walls are Talking can also be a valuable resource that sidewalk counselors can pass to current abortion workers — so they can know that they are not alone and that there is hope and help for them.
Again, please visit http://www.ignatius.com/Products/WT-H/the-walls-are-talking.aspx and get your copy of The Walls are Talking — today! You will be glad you did! I would also encourage you to get an extra few copies to share with others.
We are so thankful to Abby Johnson and ATTWN for the incredible work that they do to help those who want to leave the abortion industry. Again, The Walls are Talking is a powerful new tool that can not only encourage us to have compassion for those behind the doors of our local abortion facility, but can also speak to those still inside and give us as pro-life advocates the “know-how” to reach those still inside.
Please, get your copy today — and please continue to pray for those who work in the abortion industry and for those who are working tirelessly to help them to leave the abortion industry behind!
Blessings in Christ,
